I started racing when I was about sixteen and retired from racing about fifteen years ago. Like many other buget racers, I slowly got nudged out of racing. I started to build my Thames as a race car. I choped the top three and a half inches, I streched it ten inches by using Anglia sedan doors and using a four inch longer front end. I streched the wheel base, hoping to run somewhere in the mid sevens to low eights. But halfway through construction, I had decided to retire from drag racing and make a pro street rod instead. I really enjoy showing my Thames. We allways have a great family gathering at most of the shows. It's not drag racing, but it' the next best thing!
